Sally Young Freeze

Sally Freeze, 73, passed away with her family by her side in Bluffton, SC. on August 9, 2011.A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Bluffton, SC. A reception will follow the memorial service in the Lord of Life fellowship hall.She was born in Hazelton, PA on August 16, 1937 to Thomas and Sara Fluck. Her father worked as an engineer for Pennsylvania Power and Light and her mother was an elementary school principle. They moved to Pottsville, PA in 1939. She attended Pottsville High School and then Kutztown College in Kutztown, PA. She graduated from Kutztown in 1959 with a teaching degree. On November 8, 1958, she married her high school sweet heart, John Freeze. Her life soon changed as her new husband was in the Army. After graduating college, she followed John all over world while building and raising a family. She worked as a teacher in many different schools throughout their travels. She raised five boys and lived in Germany, Hawaii, Texas, New York, Kansas, and Maryland, where the family settled after 23 years in the Army. She worked for over 20 years as an executive secretary while living in Rockville, MD. Sally and John finally decided to move south and retire to Bluffton, SC in 2006. Sally was an active member in church throughout her life. She touched the lives of many children as a teacher at St. John
