Salvatore Giles Scala, 76, of Bluffton, SC passed away Sunday, January 17, 2010 at Hilton Head Hospital, Hilton Head Island, SC. He was born July 9, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY. He was the son of the late Thomas William and Frances Neuman Scala.He was a supervisor for Air France at Kennedy Freight Operations and a U.S. Army veteran. He was a Christian.He is survived by five sons, Mark T. (Donna) Scala and Drew Scala of Yaphank, NY, Brett (Lorry) Scala of Gilbert, AZ, Thomas Scala of Smithtown, NY and Troy Scala of New York; two daughters, Carrie Scala of Apple Valley, CA and Allison (Joe) Burdner Sound Beach, NY; two brothers, Ron Scala of Remsenberg, NY and Victor Scala of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and one grandchild, Shane Scala.A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, January 22, 2010 at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Savannah, GA.Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton, SC is assisting the family with their arrangements.
