Sammie Lee "Crow" Mervin, 65, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at his home in Ridgeland, SC. He was born in Ridgeland, SC on February 18, 1950 to the late Joseph Mervin, Sr. and Rebecca Singleton Mervin. He was a Carpenter; member and Deacon of New Zion Baptist Church in Ridgeland, SC and he was dedicated to his family. He is survived by his wife, Robin Stevenson Mervin of Ridgeland, SC; son, Jerome L. Stevenson; Daughters, Diamond Mervin; Samantha Mervin and Jasmin Stevenson, all of Ridgeland, SC; brothers, William Mervin (Gwendolyn) of Hardeeville, SC; Leroy Mervin (Diann) of Ridgeland, SC; sisters, Jannie M.Henderson and Sarah Flint (Cyler), all of Ridgeland, SC; two grandchildren, Kahmari and Kamryn Gardner; godchildren, Shalimar Baptiste, Ja'wuan Shepherd, Taylor DuPont, Derhiana Bostick and Janiyah Chaneyfield. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Center in Ridgeland, SC with burial in the King Family Cemetery in Grahamville, SC. A visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at New Zion Baptist Church. Sauls Funeral Home of Ridgeland is assisting the family with their arrangements.
