Samuel "Butchie" Saloum, Jr.

Samuel “Butchie” Saloum, Jr., 83, passed away on March 27, 2025. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished grandfather who always put his family first.

Sam was preceded in death by his parents Samuel Saloum and Harriet (Gennaula) Saloum. He is survived by his loving wife, Millie (Katterhenry) Saloum, and his children: Samantha (Kevin) McSherry, along with their children Blake and Emma; Nicole Saloum and Micah Hanson, along with their daughter Mia Hanson; Danielle Cole, along with her children Sam and Grace, as well as his stepsons, Albert Morvik and Jamie Morvik, and their families. He is also survived by his sister, Sandra Andra, and her husband, George and their children George (Jennifer) and Samuel (Jennifer) Andra.

A proud graduate of Ford City High School, Class of 1959, and Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Sam went on to build a long and successful career as an engineer at PPG Industries, where he dedicated many years of hard work. In his free time, he found great joy in playing golf and cards, always appreciating the challenge and fun they brought to his life.
