Samuel A Stone passed on Tuesday, August 24 th in Savannah, GA after a long battle with several health issues.  He was born in Cheverly, MD on April 16, 1960 and was preceded in death by his father James W Stone, his mother Dorothy M Stone, his sister Julie A Sherwood, his brother James W Stone, Jr. and his brother Thomas A Stone. He is survived by his sister Shirley A Flaherty, his sister Dorothy M Thomas (Donnie Thomas), his brother Timothy R Stone (Veronica Hagopian) and brother Jeffrey D Stone (Tonya Benton) as well as extended family members Rob Sherwood and family, Holly, Phil and Emily Warner and James Simmons, 6 nephews, 1 niece, 7 grand nephews and 8 grand nieces.

Anyone who knew Sam knew of his passion for the Washington Redskins, Baltimore Orioles and the Wizards.  He also loved his pool and bowling but his true passion was his karaoke. He’s probably got a duet of The Gambler going on right now with Kenny Rogers.  A big guy with a big heart our gentle giant can now rest in peace.  We love you Sambo!!
