It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sherry Kushel, devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, sister and dear friend to many. Sherry passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on December 5, 1942 and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Sherry was the beloved daughter of Harry and Shelia Kantor, the cherished sister of Carol Genson (Brian) and sister-in-law to Janet Barbin (Neil). Sherry was a woman of warmth, strength, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. Sherry built a beautiful life with her husband, Phil Kushel, sharing a marriage grounded in love, laughter, and true partnership.

Sherry was the proud and loving mother of Rick Kushel and Scott Kushel, whose lives she shaped with kindness, encouragement, and wisdom. She welcomed her daughters-in-law, Randi and Kim, into the family with open arms and a generous heart.

One of Sherry’s greatest joys was being a grandmother. She leaves behind a legacy of love in her adoring grandchildren: Jordyn Kushel, Zachary Kushel, Sydney Kushel, Matthew Kushel, Meredith Weichert, and Mia Weichert. Her spirit lives on in each of them—in their smiles, their strength, and their hearts.

Sherry’s warmth, grace, and generosity touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her memory will be treasured always and her love will forever remain a guiding light for her family and friends.
