Shirley Ann Hartley Altman

Shirley Ann Hartley Altman (80) of North Charleston, SC passed away on June 20, 2023 at home. Shirley was born on September 15, 1942 in Ridgeland, SC. She was the daughter of the late Woodrow Hartley and Odessa Whitman Hartley. She graduated from Ridgeland High School. After graduation she married Everett Altman of Ridgeland, SC. In 1961 the couple moved to Charleston, SC. Here they raised their two daughters. She was a long time member of Wando Woods Baptist Church. Shirley was a skilled homemaker. She loved to read and spend time with her family. Shirley is survived by her husband Everett of 62 years; daughter Angie Hanagriff (Michael) of Charleston, SC, and daughter Amy Keyes (Kerry Zillinger) of Columbus, KS; grandchildren, Megan Tilburg (Justin), Whitney Eiden (Joshua), Brandon Hanagriff, Jonathan Hanagriff, and Matthew Hanagriff; great-grandsons Everett Eiden, Jonah Eiden and Peter Eiden; brother, Derald Hartley and sister, Donna Hartley.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Wando Woods Baptist Church, 4123 Dorsey Avenue, North Charleston, SC with a 2:00 pm Memorial service.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm, Sunday, June 25, 2023 at the Grahamville Cemetery, 3234 Smiths Crossing, Ridgeland, SC.

In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, an organization Shirley supported in honor of her father.
