Shirley Temple Schaffer Reed, 72, of Ridgeland, SC died Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville, SC. She was born in Cummings, SC on April 8, 1940 to the late Horace Donald Schaffer and Maggie Lee Adams Schaffer. She was a homemaker and a member of Huggin Oak Church of God of Cummings. She was preceded in death by her late husband Robert Fred Reed of Fair Haven, NY, two brothers Rudolph Schaffer and Foy Schaffer and sisters Lucy McAlister, Judy Cook and Barbara Pearson. Survivors include: four daughters, Cheryl Reed Hensley (& Eric) of Ridgeland, SC, Cathy Reed Smith (& Mike) of Grays, SC, Bonnie Reed Sauls (& Joe) of Ridgeland, SC, and Robin Reed Mock of Ridgeland, SC; eight grandchildren, Chris Smith (& Ashleigh) of Grays, SC, Heather Dupont (& Roy) of Ridgeland, SC, Tiffany Parks (& Alan) of Grays, SC, Megan Smith of Grays, SC, Delany Garzzillo of Tillman, SC, Devyn Sauls of Ridgeland, SC, Sophia Mock and Bryson Mock of Ridgeland, SC; and eight great grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Cook of Cummings, S.C., Midge Mesanko of Rossitter, PA, and DiAnne Cook (& Roy) of Cummings, SC; two brothers H.D. Schaffer (& Nancy) of Cummings, S.C., David Schaffer (& Ruth Ann) of Cummings, SC; and a host of nieces and nephews.
