Stella Ruth Singleton Hugue

Stella Ruth Singleton-Hugue, 72 of Ridgeland, SC and widow of Robert Lee Hugue entered into eternal rest on November 14, 2017 at her home.

Mrs. Hugue was born in Ridgeland, SC on April 22, 1945 to the late William Praylow and Orrie Bell Pravlow. She was the oldest of eight siblings. She received her formal education at Jasper High School and was a member of First Heyward Baptist Church. She was joined in Holy Matimony to the late Robert Lee Hugue in January 1969. To this union, six children were born.

Mrs. Hugue was a professional housekeeper and nanny for many years before retiring. She had a love for cooking, enjoying her family, and singing in her church choir.

Mrs. Hugue leaves to cherish her memories, three daughters, Jeanette (Wesley) Deloach of Ridgeland, SC, Beverly (Ricky) Jenkins of Summerville, SC, and Showanna (Lovie) Singleton of Ridgeland, SC; three sons, Kenneth Hugue, Rodney Hugue, and Shawn Hugue, all of Ridgeland, SC; two sisters, Lily (Marcus) Mcphearson of Ridgeland, SC and Yvonne (Thomas) Moody of Savannah, GA; two brothers, William Praylow and Kevin Praylow of Philadelphia, PA; four sisters-in-law, Sarah Woods, Bessie (Johnny) Sabb, Rose Marie Hugue, all of Ridgeland, SC, and Gloria Hugue of Big Estate, SC; one brother-in-law, Randy (Betty) Hugue of St Helena Island; four aunts, Rosa Bowers, Sarah Singleton, Mary Bryant, all of Ridgeland, SC, and Janie Hicks of Philadelphia, PA; two uncles, Johnnie Hicks of New Jersey and Charlie Swinton of Ridgeland, SC; 22 granchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two special children she raised, Caleb and Callie Badgett; a special friend, Mary Riley; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, November 20, 2017 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Center, Ridgeland, SC with burial in Roseland Cemetery.
