Stephen Joseph Nimmer

Stephen Joseph Nimmer, 74, of Bluffton, SC died July 9, 2013 at NHC-Bluffton. He was born in Ridgeland, SC on August 7, 1938, the son of the late F.A. and Marie Rush Nimmer. He was a farmer, an avid outdoorsman, and a big game and fishing guide. He was a member at St. Anthony Catholic Church. He also lived in Clemson, SC, Maine and Iowa. He is survived by his sons, S. Joseph Nimmer, Jr. (Jean) of Greenville, SC; Carl Frederick (Buster) Nimmer of Bluffton, SC; daughter Scarlett Ann Nimmer of Ridgeland, SC; brother Fred Nimmer (Joan) of Ridgeland, SC and grandchildren Stephen Nimmer, III, Ben Nimmer, Mitch Nimmer, Sam Nimmer, Ryan Nimmer, Sophia Nimmer, and Andy Nimmer. The family requests memorial donations be made to the Hollings Cancer Center for Melanoma Research c/o Dr. Shirai, MUSC, 86 Jonathan Lucas Street, Charleston, SC 29425. A Mass Christian Burial will be held will be celebrated at 11am, Thursday, July 11, 2013 at St. Anthony Catholic Church with burial at Grahamville Cemetery. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service in the church.
