Sue Ann (Hines) O'Sullivan

Sue Ann O’Sullivan, formerly Sue Ann Hines, passed away peacefully at home after battling cancer. She grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She and her family then moved to Hilton Head, Island SC in 1992. Sue and her husband Paul spent their later years in Bluffton, SC. Sue worked as an English teacher in the Ann Arbor Public School District for twenty-seven years. She loved reading, writing, and discussing many topics and issues in our world today. Sue lived to support and nurture her family. Her true passion was to help others learn to read, write, and appreciate her love for literature and the English language. Sue always saw the good in people and tried to encourage them to overcome the things that challenged them in their lives. Sue is survived by her sister (Reta Lombardi), son (Timothy O’Sullivan), daughter in-law (Sarah O’Sullivan), granddaughter (Zoey O’Sullivan) along with many other beloved family members.

The funeral will be held on Friday September 13th, beginning with visitation at 9:30 am followed by the service at 10:30 am at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Bluffton, SC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Care of the Lowcountry and Friends of the Bluffton Library.
