Susan Van Hoewyk

Susan Van Hoewyk, 68, of Bluffton, SC and formerly of Bolton, CT died Friday, January 4, 2014. Mrs. Van Hoewyk was born in Melrose, MA on November 8, 1945, the daughter of the late Walter Medding and Marjorie Perkins Medding. Susan worked as an Instructional Aide for many years in the Bolton, CT public schools. She was a member of the Covenant Church of America where she was active in women's ministries. Mrs. Van Hoewyk is survived by her loving husband, David C. Van Hoewyk; children, Douglas Van Hoewyk and wife Abby of Surfside Beach, SC, Karen Van Hoewyk of Fort Collins, CO, and Andrew Van Hoewyk and wife Jackie of Mebane, NC; grandchildren, Toby, Olive, and Ruben. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Trinity Covenant Church on Hackmatack Street in Manchester, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to the Trinity Covenant Church Samaritan Fund.
