Susan Elizabeth (Mckinlay) Mckinlay Capin

Susan McKinlay Capin passed away suddenly at the age of 50 on November 2, 2022. She was wife to John Clark Capin and a long-time resident of the Bluffton and Hilton Head communities.

Susan was born October 12,1972 in Atlanta, Georgia to parents John and Sue McKinlay of Bluffton. She was a proud and loving mother to her two sons: McKinlay Johnson(wife Tiffany) and William Johnson, also of Bluffton. Additionally, she is survived by her brothers, David McKinlay and John Thomas McKinlay and half sister Lindsay McKinlay Donaldson.

Susan passionately loved the Lowcountry and was happiest spending time boating with John on the May River or on her golf cart visiting with friends throughout town. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and her loving spirit.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Church of The Cross,110 Calhoun Street, Bluffton, SC.
