Susan Wenzel

Susan “Sue” Wenzel, 78, wife of Ernest Wenzel, passed away March 24, 2025, after a long battle with dementia. Sue was born in Milwaukee, WI, received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education at UW-Eau Claire and Master’s Degree at UW-Milwaukee. She taught middle school Science and Geography for 35 years before retiring in 2002. She later was Adjunct Facility at Marquette University in Milwaukee and Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC. Sue and Ernie lived in various locations in South Carolina before moving to Sun City Hilton Head in 2014. Sue loved the location and all of the new neighbors and friends she made and had no interest in ever leaving. She enjoyed golf, Bridge and the many different activities in the community. She was active in various clubs, the Port Royal Sound Foundation Maritime Center, the GFWC, and at Agape assisting young students. Susan was preceded in death by parents and sister Patricia, and is survived by sister Carol (Terry), Daughter Jill (Bob), Grandsons Reese (Ashley) and William, and Granddaughters Holly and Anna (Caleb) and Great Grandson Dominic, along with many nieces and nephews.
