Susie Manning Carter

Susie Manning Carter, 69, of Beaufort, SC passed away Monday, October 12, 2020 at Summerville Medical Center in Summerville, SC.

Susie was born July 3, 1949 in Savannah, GA to the late Harry Valentine and Theonis Manning Valentine. She was a director of Family Services for Marine Corp Air Station and Marine Corp Recruit Training Depot, serving in civil service for 32 years. She was Christian. Susie enjoyed traveling, especially taking cruises. Her favorite travel destination was Scotland. She was a loving person, with many friends who also loved her. She had a wonderful smile and adored animals.

Susie is survived by her husband, Harold L. Carter of Beaufort; sons, Rob Boyd (Denise) of Beaufort and Adrian Carter (Marie) of Carboro, NC; brothers, Pete Manning (Marie) and Dr. Michael S. Manning (Dr. Gayle Merritt Manning) both of Albany, GA; and three grandchildren, Josh Boyd, Nazar Carter, and Gulzada Carter.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, October 23, 2020 at Sauls Funeral Home Chapel, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland, SC 29936.
