Sylvia Leibowitz

Sylvia Leibowitz, 88, of Bluffton, died July 9, 2012 at Coastal Carolina Medical Center. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 27, 1924 the daughter of the late Sol and Lillian Greenwald.She graduated from Brooklyn College and obtained her Masters degree from Hofstra University. She was a second grade school teacher and worked for Uniondale School District in New York.She was a member of Temple Oseh Shalom and enjoyed travelling.She is survived by her husband, Bernard Leibowitz of Bluffton; sons Gary Leibowitz of Waynesville, NC and Robert Lebowitz (Indra) of Boise, Idaho; daughter Susan Leibowitz of Massachusetts; and three grandchildren, Mitchell, Monica, and Annaleise.A graveside service will be held at 11 am, Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Beaufort National Cemetery.
