Tammye Brown

Tammye Brown, 59, of Bluffton, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on June 28th, 2024.

Tammye was born on August 30th, 1964, to Jeff and Brenda Brown in Savannah, Georgia. She graduated from Middleton High School, Charleston, SC where she worked in the construction field before moving to Hilton Head Island in 1990. Tammye worked in the medical, hospitality and design fields as a project and office manager, then later as a 9-1-1 dispatch for the Town of Hilton Head for 19 years. She was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed passing the time with friends, trips to Charleston, North Carolina Mountains, fishing and watching NASCAR. She adopted several cats over the years and was a supporter of local animal shelters.

Tammye was preceded in death by her mother, Brenda Brown, in 2022. She is survived by her father, Jeff Brown, sister, Tonya Wood and brother-in-law, Craig Wood, and nieces, Grace Wood and Lauren (& Kevin) Gibbons.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:30 am, Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Hospice of the Lowcountry and the Hilton Head Humane Association.
