Tavia Michele Lanier Johnson

Sadly we announce that Tavia Michele Lanier Johnson, 44, of Bluffton, SC lost her long courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, April 28, 2011 in Hospice Savannah, GA.She was born in Metter, GA on October 16, 1966. She was the daughter of Barbara Ann Ackerman Lanier and the late Hubert Math Lanier.She was a graduate of the Metter, Georgia High School and was employed by Paper Chemical Company of Savannah, GA. She was a member of the Bluffton United Methodist Church.She is survived by her beloved son, Charles Taylor Johnson of Bluffton, SC; her mother, Barbara Lanier of Metter, GA and two brothers, Hubert Michael Lanier and Matthew Shane Lanier of Metter, GA and her aunt and uncle, Carol and Doug Smith and Randy and Cindy McCullogh. Also her wonderful friends, Amy Whitman, Lynda Johnson, Larry and Jerry Peeples, and all of her devoted friends who have always been there for her.A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, May 2, 2011 in the Bluffton United Methodist Church, 101 Calhoun St., Bluffton.
