Teddy Allen Bostick Sr.

July 24, 1943 — April 14, 2022

Teddy Allen Bostick, Sr., of Ridgeland, SC, was called to his heavenly home on April 14, 2022 at the age of 78.  Ted was born in Big Spring, TX on July 24, 1943, and grew up in that area.  He graduated from Flagstaff High School in Flagstaff, AZ. He received Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana College in Pineville, LA and Master’s degree from New Orleans Theological Seminary, New Orleans, LA.

Ted was a 6-year veteran of the United States Air Force and served overseas in Pakistan.  After leaving the Air Force, he worked 5 years at Exxon Refinery in Baton Rouge, LA before answering God’s call to the ministry.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Bertha Tonn Bostick, father, William Carroll Bostick, Sr., brother William Carroll Bostick, Jr. and eldest son, Teddy Allen Bostick, Jr.  He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Hazel Tarver Bostick of Ridgeland, SC, youngest son Josh Bostick of Bluffton, SC and grandchildren Aero Bostick of Las Vegas, NV, Zakkary Bostick, Jamison Bostick, Brooklynn Bostick all of Bluffton, SC, and Sydney Heath of Uhingen, Germany.

A devout Christian and family man, Ted spent his life in service of the Lord as a Southern Baptist Minister.  He served as pastor of churches in Mississippi, Louisiana, Alaska, Arizona, and Texas.  At the time of his death, he was Associate Pastor to Senior Adults at Red Dam Baptist Church in Hardeeville, SC until his body would no longer allow it. He so enjoyed the fun, fellowship, and food with all the “Saltees” and loved ministering to them.

He loved his Lord, his wife, and his family dearly.  He was a kind-hearted soul that would do anything he could for anyone in need.  He loved the outdoors, golfing, hunting, and fishing.  Those activities were secondary passions to LSU football.  Geaux Tigers!

Services will be held at Red Dam Baptist Church on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, beginning at 2:00 PM for viewing and service at 3:00 PM.

An extra thank you to the members of Red Dam Baptist Church for their continued love and support during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Child Evangelism Fellowship, 5467 N. Okatie Highway, Ridgeland, SC  29936.
