Teresa Barbara Naylor

Teresa Barbara Naylor, 96, of Okatie, SC, passed away on June 6, 2023. She was born in Windber, PA on October 11, 1926.

She graduated from Fashion Institute in New York City and went on to obtain a master’s degree in education from Temple University in Philadelphia. She spent most of her career in fashion design (women’s clothes) in New York City and Los Angeles. She also taught design at high school and university levels.

Teresa traveled extensively throughout the world before moving to Sun City in Bluffton, SC in 1998. She moved to Sprenger Health Care in 2019 and has always been surrounded by family and friends and welcomed them all into her home.

She is survived by her two brothers, Leonard (and Maria) Naylor of Johnstown, PA and John (and Joanne) Naylor of Harrisburg, PA. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces and grand nephews and nieces.

A Funeral Mass will be held on 10:30 am, Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 31 Saint Gregory Drive in Bluffton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Second Helpings, P.O. Box 23621, Hilton Head, SC 29925.
