She was the daughter of James Studer and Sophie Petit Studer.She was a homemaker. She was an Administrative Secretary who wrote Research and Development Government contracts. She was a Catholic; an avid bowler; a member of the Sun City Ceramic Club; enjoyed gardening and traveling and loved her family.She is survived by her husband, Thomas P. Kirland of Bluffton, SC; three sons, Thomas J. (Cindi) Kirland of Jacksonville, NC, Christopher W. Kirland of Woodbridge, VA and Brian P. (Diane) Kirland of Valrico, FL; two daughters, Christine P. (Matthew) Smurr of Charlotte, NC and Theresa A. (Tim) Andreoni of St. Augustine, FL; one brother, Dennis (Stephanie) Studer of Jackson, NJ; and fifteen grandchildren.The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, SC at 11:00 am, on Thursday, August 9, 2007 with burial in Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC.
