Thomas W. Anderson

Thomas W. Anderson, 93, of Bluffton, SC and formerly of Punta Gorda, FL died Monday, March 13, 2017 at NHC-Bluffton. Mr. Anderson was born on September 18, 1923 in Philadelphia, PA, the son of the late Elbert D. Anderson and Elizabeth McLaughlin Anderson. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving as a Naval Aviator during World War II. He attended the University of Maryland and Villanova University. He worked for many years with AT&T in the engineering department. While living in Bluffton he was very active in the Sun City community. Mr. Anderson is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Anna O. Anderson; son, Thomas W. Anderson, Jr. (Kim); and grandchildren, Liam, Sean, and Fiona. A funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 31, 2017 at Lowcountry Presbyterian Church, 10 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910 with burial following at 1:00 p.m. at Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, SC. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
