Thomas Owen Brown

Thomas Owen Brown, 68 of Bluffton, SC passed away Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Hilton Head Medical Center, Hilton Head Island. He was born on December 13, 1942 in Statesboro, GA. He was the son of the late Robert and Mattie Boddiford Brown. He was a Construction Superintendant. He was a Baptist. He enjoyed fishing and cooking and was a fan of the Atlanta Falcons and the Georgia Bulldogs. He is survived by his wife, Mercedes Brown of Bluffton, SC; two sons, Paul Brown of Lake City, FL and Tony Hutcheson of Bluffton, SC; three daughters, Kathryn (Richard) Hoffmann of Cape Coral, FL, Penny Brown of Savannah, GA, and Margie Williamson of Savannah, GA; two brothers, William (Marilyn) Brown of Statesboro, GA and James (Judy) Brown of Eden, GA; six sisters, Janie Mock of Decatur, AL, Jeanelle (Charles) Wood of Guyton, GA, Betty (Richard) Weathers of Augusta, GA, Mary (Daniel) Dasher of Guyton, GA, Peggy (Dewey) Wise of Bluffton, SC, and Sue (Johnny) Robinson of Metter, GA; fourteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was predeceased by one son, Roger Lee Brown. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm, Saturday, February 12, 2011 at the Sauls Funeral Home Chapel, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton. The family will receive friends beginning at 3:00 pm.
