Thomas Michael Catalano

Thomas Michael Catalano, 67, of Bluffton, SC and formerly of Toms River, NJ died Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Hilton Head Hospital. Thomas was born in Buffalo, NY on May 12, 1947, the son of the late Andreá Catalano and Betty McCue Catalano. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart. After his military tenure he began his career with the Local Union #829 where he worked for 26 years as a stagehand. Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Jo Ann Catalano; daughter, Vanessa Catalano of Bluffton, SC; son, Andrew Catalano of Brick, NJ; sisters, Christine Catalano of Bluffton, SC and Andrea Ramirez of Howard Beach, NY; and his granddaughter, Autumn Rose Catalano. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 24, 2014 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Road, Bluffton, SC 29909 with burial following at 1:00 p.m. at Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Heart Association.
