Thomas Joseph Depa

Thomas Joseph Depa was born in Detroit, Michigan. He is survived by his family who loved him dearly; his loving wife Joan, his six children, all of which he was very proud of their accomplishments, sons: Michael(Tracey), Patrick, John(Xinmiao), David, and daughters: Kimberly(Michael Jones), Andrea(Steven Broaddus). He was also loved by his 15 beautiful grandchildren with their fun and loving personalities: Marissa, Azhanae, Ysenia, Mikayla, Noah, Melissa, Amanda, Hayden, Ian, Claire, Avery, Ellah, Matthew, Ryan, Evan, and 1 great- grandchild: Kehlani. He is also survived by his brother, John(Carol) of whom he had very fond memories.

Tom was a Certified Public Accountant in private practice for over 40 years practicing in Redford, Westland, and Brighton, Michigan. He was also active in the Redford, Westland, and Brighton Rotary Clubs, and enjoyed volunteering at the food bank.

Upon retiring, he and his wife moved to Sun City Hilton Head, where they spent many happy years. Tom loved traveling, reading, and walking, but his greatest pleasure was spending time with his wonderful grandchildren.

He will be forever missed and remembered for his beautiful smile, his never-ending repertoire of “DAD” jokes, and his love and devotion to his loving wife and family, his gentleness, kind heart, and his zeal for life.
