Mr. Redmond was born and raised in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Villanova University and a Master’s degree from Temple University. He spent 41 years in public education, first as a teacher and then as school business administrator until his retirement from the Cherry Hill Public Schools in New Jersey in 2007. Mr. Redmond was an active golfer, hence the retirement to Bluffton, South Carolina. He was proud of his Irish heritage and was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and always looked forward to driving his green convertible in the annual Hilton Head Island St. Patrick’s Day parade. He also loved his Villanova Wildcats, especially cheering on the men’s basketball team. He spent summers enjoying the beach life in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey and was a past Commodore of the Greater Wildwood Yacht Club. But most of all, he loved his family – the love of his life, Barbara, who he was married to for 51 years and his three children and their families. Mr. Redmond is survived by his wife Barbara of Bluffton, SC; daughter, Lisa Teeling (Aaron) of Virginia Beach, VA; son, Kevin Redmond (Kristen) of Cherry Hill, NJ; and daughter, Megan Timmons (Devin) of Syracuse, NY.
