Rev. Tim Tomlinson

On March 16, 2020, Rev. Tim Tomlinson, 61, went on to be with his Heavenly Father.  He was a devoted son, husband, father, papa, and friend who never met a stranger.  Tim dedicated his life to sharing God’s love as he pastored several churches around South Carolina, most recently as pastor of Okatee Baptist Church for the past 14 years.

Born in Homestead, FL on April 15, 1958, Tim was a graduate of Columbia High, Baptist College at Charleston, and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.  He had a love for his church, the outdoors, fishing, and helping others with projects.

He is survived by his soulmate and wife of 39 years, Suzanne, along with 2 daughters, Ashley of San Diego, CA (Olivia) and Kim of Georgetown, SC.  He is also survived by 1 granddaughter, Arden (San Diego, CA).  He is survived by his mother, Pat Tomlinson, brother, Perry Tomlinson (Ellen), and sister, Melissa Jacobs (Jake), and survived and loved by special nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends.  He is predeceased by his father, Rev. Gratten Tomlinson and his sister, Pam Tomlinson.

Suzanne and the family thank you for your continued prayers and support during this difficult time.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Okatee Baptist Church, 5467 N. Okatie Hwy, Ridgeland, SC 29936.  A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
