Timothy Patrick Griffin

Timothy Patrick Griffin, 63, passed away unexpectedly on July 20, 2022. The world has lost an extraordinary soul and is now dimmer, quieter, more serious, and less colorful, classic rock literate, witty, courageous, well-read, and passionate. A native New Yorker, he was a Hilton Head Islander for over forty-one years, arriving here after graduating from Washington and Lee University. Tim was an extremely active community member: successful businessman, past Rotarian, renowned rugby club alum, avid gym member, and respected football coach and mentor. He was a generous, loyal friend and a loving father and family member. Tim was predeceased by his father James and leaves his mother Geraldine, daughter Bretton Skyler (Jordan) Graham and sister Sherri (Kevin) Lawless. There will be a small private service for the family. A celebration honoring Tim's life will be scheduled at a later date.
