Timothy Michael Kenneally

With his wife by his side, Timothy Michael Kenneally, 72, peacefully left this earth on January 28, 2019 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital.  Tim was born to Michael Kenneally and Shirley Soper of Ridgefield, NJ on December 28, 1946.  He attended St. Matthews Grammar School, Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, NJ and St. Peters College in Jersey City, NJ.

Tim married Eileen Pellegrino on April 11, 1970 and lived in New Milford, NJ.  He spent his career in various types of financial management and CFO positions.  He travelled to various parts of the world for work which brought him to Atlanta, GA in 1981.  He retired due to physical problems and extreme pain in 1997.  In 2002, he and his wife moved to Sun City Hilton Head in SC lured by the beauty of the lowcountry.

He is survived by his wife, Eileen, and daughter, Erin Marie Blevins (Andrew) of Mount Pleasant, SC and grandchild, Addison Marie Blevins, 7 years old, whom he adored.  He is also survived by three sisters and one brother.

Tim was a tremendous sports enthusiast who played basketball, softball, tennis and golf.  In Atlanta, he was a member of the Atlanta Dart Association and became a skilled player.  Tim was an avid reader, a gourmet cook, who enjoyed playing bridge, poker, and growing plants   He and his wife enjoyed cruising across the ocean, long car trips, traveling to new places along the eastern seaboard visiting family and friends.

His smile and sense of humor will be missed by all.  His greatest quality was always seeing the best in others.  He was admired for his strength in dealing with his health issues.

A  mass will be held at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 31 Saint Gregory Drive, Bluffton, SC 29909 on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 10:30 am with a repast following.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Bergen Catholic High School / Tuition Assistance Fund, 1040 Oradell Ave., Oradell, NJ  07649 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
