In Loving Memory of Tricia E. Jenkins Barwick

January 19, 1971 – September 30, 2026

Tricia E. Jenkins Barwick, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away on September 30, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Tricia was a special soul who had a way of making everyone feel welcome. She was funny, kind, and truly never met a stranger. It didn’t matter where she went or whom she encountered; she had a gift for turning strangers into friends and making people feel like family. Her warm heart, generous spirit, and wonderful sense of humor made her a joy to know and a blessing to those fortunate enough to have her in their lives.

Above all, Tricia was a caretaker. She had a natural gift for loving others and making sure they were cared for. Her heart was big enough to embrace everyone she met. Although she had no grandchildren of her own, she lovingly considered all babies her babies. That was the kind of woman Tricia was — always ready to give love, offer comfort, and make room in her heart for someone else.

Her greatest achievement and one of her greatest joys was her son, Joshua. He was her pride, her joy, and one of the most precious gifts of her life. The love she had for him was immeasurable, and being his mother was a role she cherished with all her heart.

Tricia also had a deep love for the beach and dolphins. The ocean brought her a special kind of happiness, with its peaceful waves, beautiful shores, and the graceful dolphins she adored. The beach was a place where she could find peace and joy, and those who knew her will forever associate these beautiful things with her free spirit and loving heart.

Left to cherish her precious memory are her loving husband, Jason Barwick; her beloved son, Joshua, whom she considered her greatest achievement; her brother, Joe Mattie; her sister, Yvonne Mattie; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends whose lives were made brighter by knowing her.

Tricia was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Patricia S. Jenkins, and her brother, Charlie Jenkins.

Though her passing leaves an emptiness that words cannot fully express, the love she gave and the memories she created will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew her. Her laughter will be remembered, her kindness will continue through those she touched, and her caring spirit will live on in the countless lives she made better.

As the waves continue to reach the shore and dolphins dance across the ocean, may those who loved Tricia find comfort in knowing that the beauty she cherished will always remind them of her. Though she is no longer here for us to hold, her love will remain with us always.

Rest peacefully, Tricia. May you find eternal peace beside the ocean you loved, surrounded by the beauty of the dolphins that brought you joy. You were loved beyond measure, will be missed more than words can say, and will never, ever be forgotten.
