Valerie A. Ross, age 70, of Bluffton South Carolina, passed away in her home on July 12th, 2020.
Valerie is survived by her husband, John Ross; her father John Adams; her siblings John Adams Jr (Joanne), Hunter Adams (Kimberly), and Susan Adams (Michael) her children, Candy (Brian), Wendell Patton (Erica), Jennifer Williams (Doug), April Ross, Leslie Young (Byron), Meghaan Nguyen (David); and her grandchildren Dusty, Keith, Zachary, Jenna, Isaiah, Caleb, Bethanie, Jonathan, Kayla, Chrisanna, John Wesley, Bryanna, Madison, and Oliver.
Valerie was born in Newport News Virginia on March, 26th 1950. She was a graduate of James Monroe high school. Throughout her life Valerie was always active in her community seeking out opportunities to serve in multiple helping careers. Even after retirement Valerie enjoyed working in the golf pro shop near her home in Sun City. The most important job of Valerie’s life was raising her beautiful children.
Valerie was a devoted and loving wife to her husband John. She was a long-time active member of St. Anne’s Episcopal church in Tifton Georgia where she volunteered and served on the church staff. She loved animals, could often be found reading a book, and took great pride in her role as “nana” to her many grandchildren. Valerie loved her book club, pool “gals” and spending time together with John and their many friends. She will be deeply missed by friends, family, and all who knew her.
Due to COVID-19, a private celebration of life for immediate family was held on Thursday July 16th in Tifton Georgia at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church with Father Lonnie Lacy officiating.
