Vern Allen Finch

Vern Allen Finch, 81, of Hardeeville, SC died February 5th, 2011 in Savannah, GA.He and his twin sister, Fern were born in Ottawa, IL on September 4, 1929 to the late Arthur G. and Celia Counter Finch. He was a Veteran having served in the US Air Force, then became a civilian Federal employee with USAF Office of the Secretary of Defense and The Corps. of Engineers as a Realty Specialist before retiring in 1981. After retirement, he operated a golf cart repair and maintenance service in SC. He was an avid golfer and antique automobile enthusiast.He is survived by his wife, Lois Finch of Hardeeville, SC; six children and step children and their spouses; Carol (Wayne) Fourman of Greenville, OH; Debbie (Bucky) Tretler of Rockville, MD; Jan (Jim) Watts of Crownsville, MD; Randy Pinckney of Okatie, SC; Jerry (Jan) Finch of Fairview Heights, IL; Karen Finch of Gaithersburg, MD; nine Grandchildren and spouses; seven Great Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Fern Pare; four brothers, Lee, Louis, Wayne and Duane Finch and one grandson, Justin Watts.Memorial services will be held at 2:00, Friday, February 11, 2011 at Sauls Funeral Home Chapel, 310 W. Adams St in Ridgeland, SC. Memorial donations may be made to The American Heart Association, Chapter of Choice, American Red Cross, Chapter of Choice or Seneca, IL Public Library, 210 N.
