Verna Graves Crosby

Verna Crosby, loving mother and friend to many passed away peacefully on June 24 surrounded by her family and long time partner, John.

She was born June 27, 1939 to Wilton J Graves and Sadie P Graves. Preceded in death by her husband, Edward G Crosby.

She was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. Sassy, as she was known, is survived by her 3 sons, Jamie Crosby (Jill), Sean Crosby (Shelly) and Scott Crosby (Candace), partner, John Hubbard, eight grandchildren Aaron Crosby (Halah), Lauren Williams (Baxter), Hoyt Crosby, Eliza Crosby, Capers Crosby, Bailey, Tanner and Christian, brother Robert Graves and nieces and nephews Pam Graves, Ling Graves, Cheryl Hughes, Allison Bensch, Wilton Graves, Laura Leigh Clark, and Mary Ellen Hunsinger.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Sauls Funeral Home on Friday, June 28, beginning with family receiving visitors at 2:00 pm, followed by a service at 3:00 pm. The family will then receive visitors at their home, PepperHall Plantation, beginning at 5:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the St Luke’s UMC PPI, P. O. Box 2779, Bluffton, SC  29910 or the American Cancer Society.
