Vernon Wayne Cawthon, Jr.

Vernon Wayne Cawthon, Jr., 65, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Hospice Savannah, Savannah, GA. He was born in Ridgeland, SC on October 8, 1944 to the late Vernon W. Cawthon, Sr. and Lucille Sommers Cawthon. He was an Accountant for Strachan Shipping Company for 35 years and he was a member of First Baptist Church of Hardeeville.He is survived by his wife, Lillian Ruth Keiffer Cawthon of Rincon, GA; two sons, Vernon Wayne (Angela) Cawthon, III of Guyton, GA; Chris A. (Cookie) Cawthon of Florence, SC; one daughter, Amy Cawthon (Rick) Parrish of Rincon, GA; one sister, Betty C. (Norman) Horton of Ridgeland, SC; grandchildren, Joshua and Kaitlyn Davis; Jessica, Seth, Aaron, Carson and Campbell Cawthon; Lily and Laurel Parrish.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 15, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Hardeeville with burial in Purrysburg Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 14, 2010 from 4 til 6 pm at Sauls Funeral Home of Ridgeland, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland, SC.
