Vincent Richard D'Angelo

Vincent Richard D’Angelo, 83, of Bluffton, SC passed away May 21, 2022 at his home.

Vincent was born July 4, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Eustacio D’Angelo and Catherine Valentino D’Angelo. He served in the United States Army and later graduated from Rutgers University in NJ. Following his undergrad, Vincent continued his education, receiving his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ. He and his wife, Carol Raphael D’Angelo, resided in Hamilton Township, NJ. While there, he served as a Deacon for Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church in NJ, also serving as the instructor over Deacons.

In 2006, Vincent and Carol moved to Sun City Hilton Head, where Vincent enjoyed 16 happy years. He was a musician in the Lowcountry Orchestra, playing clarinet. He also played the guitar and ukulele with Sun City music groups.

In addition to his wife, Carol, Vincent is survived by his son, Glen, and daughter, Barbara, both of Bluffton.

A memorial mass was held Friday, May 27, 2022 at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church of Bluffton, followed by military honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
