Virgil M. Woods Sr.

Virgil M. Woods Sr., 88 passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at his home in Ridgeland, SC. He was born in Savannah, GA on December 8, 1926 to the late James M. and Marion Sauls Woods. He was an Electrical Contractor, owner of Virgil M. Woods, Sr. Electrical Company, possessor of Woods' Shrimp Trawlers, licensed Seaman Captain and proprietor of Woods Maintenance Company at Fort Stewart Hospital in Hinesville, GA. He is survived by his wife Sonja Atkins Woods of Ridgeland, SC; daughter, Barbara Woods Sheehan (John), and granddaughter, Casie Robles (Carlos). He was predeceased by his brother Rev. Melchor Woods, Jr. and Robert Austin Woods, Sr. The service will be held at Sauls Funeral Home Chapel, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland, SC at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 1, 2015. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial donations may be contributed to the church or charity of your choice. The burial will be private. Sauls Funeral Home of Ridgeland is assisting the family with their arrangements. The service will be held at Sauls Funeral Home Chapel, 310 W.
