On Saturday, May 22, 2021 God saw one of his angels getting tired and called her home to rest. We will miss her but God loves her best.

Virginia Lee Logan was the daughter of the late Sophie Heyward and Phillip Nelson. She was born on January 15, 1924 in Ridgeland, South Carolina. She joined Lovely Hill Baptist Church and was a faithful member of the church and Mother of the Usher Board under the leadership of Rev. Kardell Ferguson. She was educated in Good Hope School and she was best known as Ginia. In early years, she was employed at Ridgeland High School as a cafeteria worker and later worked on Hilton Head Island as a homemaker for several years. She was a loving person, she loved everyone she came into contact with. She loved her family and her church family. She was joined in holy matrimony to the late Eddie Logan.

Virginia was preceded in death by three daughters, Diana, Gloria and Vergie, one son, Charles, two sisters, Victoria Heyward and Cherrie Bass, and two brothers, Deacon Able Doe and Deacon Henry Dupont. Virginia leaves to cherish her loving memories two sons, Peter (Brenda) Logan, and Mark Logan, one granddaughter that she raised, Kiesha Wilson all of Ridgeland, SC, one daughter-in-law, Lovenia Logan of Ridgeland, SC, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends, and one special niece, Ruby.

Funeral services will be held at Noon on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Sauls Funeral Home Chapel, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland, SC with burial at 2:00 pm in Beaufort National Cemetery.  The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 am on Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
