Virginia M. Refenes

Virginia M. Refenes, 93, of Bluffton, SC, formerly of Hendersonville, NC, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2020 at her home.

Virginia was born May 2, 1927 in Detroit, MI to the late Edmond Miesch and Freda Wilker Miesch. Adored by family and friends alike, she was known by many names: Virginia, Ginny, Mom, Gramma, Grammy, and Triple G. She enjoyed hobbies such as sewing, knitting, and needlework; but she enjoyed spending time with her family most of all.

Virginia is survived by her sons, James Refenes, William Refenes, and Thomas Refenes; daughter, Susan Refenes; ten grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Refenes.

Due to the current pandemic, a private memorial service will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Hendersonville, NC. Family and friends are welcome to join via Zoom. Please contact the family for the link.
