Vito ("Will/Willie") Bruno June 17, 1935 - January 9, 2015 Will Bruno of Bluffton, SC passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on January 9th, 2015 following a brief illness. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 17, 1935 and was the son of the late John and Grace (Colavita) Bruno. Will and his family moved to Connecticut in his early years and he lived, married and raised his family in Stamford, CT until his retirement. Will attended the University of Connecticut and was the production manager for The New Yorker Magazine, headquartered in New York City, until retiring to Hilton Head Island, SC in 1985. Upon moving to Hilton Head, he and his wife, Jo owned and operated a wine and liquor store, Ye Port Royal Wine & Spirits, in Port Royal Shopping Center for many years. Will's joy in life was being with his family, working in the outdoors, and listening to good music, as well as being the most welcoming host to family and friends over many years. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Josephine "Jo" Margotta Bruno, three sons Greg Bruno of Waleska, GA, Gary and daughter-in-law Mary Ann Bruno of Bluffton, SC, John Bruno of Hilton Head Island, SC and former daughter in law Kathy of Hilton Head Island, SC. He is also survived by his sister, Lucille and brother-in-law Beeb Cipolla of Boynton Beach, FL, sister-in-law, Diane and brother-in-law Ron Ford, of Boca Raton, FL and sister-in-law, Barbara Margotta, of Bluffton, SC. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren - Steven, Jenna, Lindsey, Nicole, JT & Nick, and his most recent love great granddaughter Faith, as well as many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday January 17, 2015 at 12 o'clock at Saint Andrews Chapel Hall, 220 Pinckney Colony Rd, Okatie, SC 29909. Following the memorial service there will be a gathering in remembrance of his well lived life at 2 Hidden Lake Ct, in Rose Hill Plantation. The family has asked that if anyone who wishes to remember Will that, in lieu of flowers, a memorial donation in the name of Will Bruno sent to Hospice of the Low Country, 7 Plantation Park Drive, Bluffton, SC 29910 would be most kind and appreciated.
