Vivienne Williams

November 30, 1939 — March 22, 2023

Vivienne T. Williams of Hilton Head Island, SC died peacefully on March 22, 2023. Predeceased by her parents, Sybil Gladys and George Roy Denford, her twin sister, Margaret J. Mogul and her beloved husband of 51 years, Thomas J. Williams, Vivienne is survived by her sister Muriel Gillard of Burnham on Sea, United Kingdom, two children, Thomas J. Williams, Jr of Jacksonville, FL and Anne E. Brogan (Ryan) of Hilton Head Island, SC along with her grandchildren William C. Brogan and Katherine E. Brogan, and many nieces and nephews.

Vivienne was born on November 30, 1939 in London, England where she lived a wonderful childhood.  After graduating Pitman College, Vivienne packed her bags and moved to the United States landing in New York City and then onto Philadelphia.  Shortly after settling in, she was joined by her twin sister, Margaret.  At nearly six feet tall, it was hard to miss the vivacious and elegant British twins and the pair found success in advertising and modeling.  Vivienne went on to meet the love of her life, Tom and they were married in West Haven, CT on November 16, 1968. Vivienne always believed that she was meant to come to the United States to find Tom.

Vivienne and Tom built an incredible life for their family. Living in Berwyn, PA, the family all loved playing golf with friends at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, PA, where they belonged for over 30 years. In later years, Vivienne and Tom retired to Naples, FL where they continued their lifelong love of golf as Members of the Quail Creek Country Club. After Tom’s passing, Vivienne moved to Hilton Head Island, SC in 2022 to be closer to her daughter and family who are longtime island residents.  Though her time in South Carolina was short, she truly enjoyed her new home and was thrilled to spend more time with her grandchildren.

Vivienne was loved for her quick wit and carried her sense of humor with her until the end.  She was a self-proclaimed domestic goddess, incredible mother, the very best Mimi and an amazing friend.  She will be missed beyond words and loved forever.
