W. Dale Schultz

W. Dale Schultz, age 73, of Hardeeville, SC died Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Landmark Hospital in Savannah, GA. Mr. Schultz was born on February 24, 1943 in Hartford, CT, the son of the late Warren Schultz and Mildred Condon Schultz. He worked with the Carmel, NY Police Department as a detective, retiring after 22 years of service. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. After retiring from the police department he worked as a Field Investigator for General Motors Corporation. Since moving to South Carolina, he was employed by Shoreline Medical Transport. Outside of work and civic involvement he enjoyed playing golf. He was a Methodist. Mr. Schultz is survived by his wife, Carole M. Schultz; daughters, Kristen Porter (Sean) of Milford, CT, Elizabeth S. Ellis (Jr.) of Cape Coral, FL, and Lauren Marie Schultz of Cape Coral FL; stepson, Jon Robert Oberle of Jersey Shore, PA; stepdaughter, Anne Marie Wilkins (Dan) of Johnstown, PA; sister, Joan Lenhart of The Villages, FL; and grandchildren, Skylar Porter, Gavin Ellis, Trey Ellis, Alyssa Ellis, and Kyra Porter. A celebration of life service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910.
