Walker Simpson Smith Jr.

Walker Simpson Smith Jr. 75 of Grays, SC entered into eternal rest on May 26, 2011. He experienced a peaceful passing surrounded by his loving family.Mr. Smith, affectionately known as Budd and/or Scrooge, was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He lived his life committed to hard work and family. Mr. Smith served in the Army National Guard, and also as a non-commissioned game warden. For 31 years he served the Lowcountry as a service technician for Sears Roebuck of Beaufort, SC. He was a dedicated to each and every customer and treated them like family.Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Ina S. Smith of the home, his daughters, Kathy A. Smith and Leah D. (Mark) Fontenot both of Grays, SC and one son, Fred A. (Kim) Smith of Savannah, GA. He was predeceased by a son, Michael E. Smith and daughter, Sherri L. Smith. His grandchildren are Cindy Ginn (Jeff) Glick, April K. (Ricky) Mole, Sherry Malphrus, Fred A. Smith II, Kristine W. (Sockie) Robinson and Karla W. (David) Omes. There are seven great grands that he was very proud of.He is also survived by his sisters, Rubye Groover of Ludowici, GA, Jayne Woods of Omega, GA and Marina Kring of Metter, GA.
