Wallace E. AltmanRidgeland, SCWallace Edwin Altman, 75, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at his home in Ridgeland, SC. He was born in Ridgeland, SC on February 7, 1934 to the late James Ellis Altman and Robbie Lee Roberts.He was a Firefighter for the Civil Service at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah; retired Daufauskie Island Chief of Security; US Navy Veteran of Korea and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.He is survived by his wife, Winifred A. (Winnie) Altman of Ridgeland, SC; four sons, Ricky Altman, James Altman and Jeffrey Altman, all of Ridgeland, SC; James (Debbie) Peterson of Rincon, GA; two daughters, Kelly Brandy Wayment of Lexington, KY and Cathy (Mark) Ogden of Layton, Utah; two brothers, Everett (Shirley) Altman of Charleston, SC; Wilton (Ruth) Altman of Ridgeland, SC; two sisters, Jean Fludd and Barbara Malphrus of Ridgeland, SC and fifteen grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, July 31, 2009 at Great Swamp Baptist Church in Ridgeland, SC with burial in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6 til 8 pm, Thursday, July 30, 2009 at Sauls Funeral Home of Ridgeland, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland, SC.
