Wallace Lanier Butler, Jr, 67, of Hardeeville, SC, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 in the Candler Hospital, Savannah, GA.He was born in Meldrim, GA on March 11, 1941. He was the son of the late Wallace Lanier Butler Sr. and Thelma Ricord Butler.He was a retired Law Enforcement Officer in Maryland. He worked with J. Edgar Hoover and the FBI. He was a retired Probation Officer in Chatham County. He was a Christian. He was in the US Army Reserve. He was a 1959 graduate of Savannah High School. He enjoyed birdwatching
