Walter Henry Bennett

Walter Henry Bennett, age 84, of Hilton Head, SC and formerly of the Washington, DC area died Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at home.

Mr. Bennett was born on March 16, 1934 in Allentown, PA. He was a veteran of the United States Army and later completed his formal education at the University of Maryland, earning a degree in economics. Following graduation he began his career as an economist retiring after many years of service. While living in Hilton Head he attended Church of the Cross. Outside of work and civic involvement he enjoyed computers and learning more about modern technology.

Mr. Bennett was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Lorraine J. Bennett and sons, Jeffery and Jonathan Bennett. He is survived by his son, Jason Bennett; grandchildren, Joshua and Reneé; and grandson, Chandler.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the atrium of Indigo Pines, 110 Gardner Drive, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926. If you have any questions, please call Jason at 843-290-8390.
