Walter John Draves

Walter John Draves, 85 of Bluffton, SC passed away on September 17, 2015 at Select Specialty Care Hospital in Savannah, GA. Walter was born in New York City, NY on September 10, 1930 to the late John and Marie Statlmeier Draves. Walter was a veteran of the United States Army, where he served as a sergeant in the Korean War. He was a retired tool and die maker, formerly with the Bulova Watch Company. He was an active member of the Sun City Veteran's Club. Walter's many interests included playing tennis and golf. Walter John Draves is survived by his wife, Hedwig Schleyer Draves; one son, Thomas Walter Draves of New York City, NY; two daughters, Kathryn Ann Draves of Woodbury, Long Island, New York and Sandra Jean Draves of Glenn Oaks, New York City, NY; one sister, Eleanor Behrens of Pennsylvania; and two grandchildren, Brandon Draves and Miranda Draves of New York City, NY.
