Wanda Janise Chilton

Wanda Janise Chilton was called to her heavenly home February 12, 2022. She was born January 01, 1961 in Arlington, Texas. Wanda has been a resident of Ridgeland, SC since 2005. She passed in the Coastal Carolina Hospital with Covid and pneumonia.

Survivors include a son, Patrick W. Chilton, parents, Jimmy L. Chilton, Sr. and Dolores A. (Smith) Chilton of Ridgeland, SC. Brother, Jimmy L. Chilton, Jr. and wife, Lisa M. (Flowers) Chilton of Houston, TX. Sister, Cynthia G. (Chilton) Garnto and husband, Ricky Garnto of Ridgeland, SC. There are extended family in TX, FL, and TN. Wanda had previously resided in Grand Prairie, TX, Glenview, IL, Fraiser, TN, Great Lakes, IL, and Gretna, LA.

She graduated from John Ehret High School in Marrero, LA. During her 50’s, Wanda attended Technical College of the Lowcountry, SC and received four Associate Degrees. She was a member of the Friends of the Library in Ridgeland for many years and regularly attended the City Council meetings. Her hobbies and interests included quilting and Genealogy for family and friends and staying in contact on Facebook.

Cremation with memorial services will be in Little Lot, TN later in the spring.
