William A. €Œuncle Billy†Sawatzky

William A. "Uncle Billy" Sawatzky, age 60, of Bluffton, SC and formerly of Baltimore, MD died Wednesday, February 11, 2015. Mr. Sawatzky was born on September 13, 1954 in Oil City, PA, the son of the late Arthur George Sawatzky and Nora Elizabeth Lewis Sawatzky. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked as a truck driver/courier for many years and was employed with AMG Imports while living in South Carolina. He was an avid Baltimore Orioles and Ravens fan. Uncle Billy was one of the smartest people. He always had an educated and accurate answer for everything. Mr. Sawatzky was preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl Colwell. He is survived by his sister, Susan Reedy of Bluffton; brother-in-law, James Reedy of Bluffton; nephew, Herb Britton, Jr. of Bluffton; niece-in-law, Melanie Britton of Bluffton; nephew, Robert Britton of Bluffton; and great-nieces and nephew, Maya Britton, Lola Britton, and Cole Britton. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the National Emphysema Foundation, 128 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06851. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910.
