William Allen Hodge

William Allen Hodge, 83, of Bluffton, SC passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at his home.He was born in Bluffton, SC (Palmetto Bluff) on November 11, 1926. He was the son of the late Edward and Eva Hubbard Hodge.He was a retired US Merchant Marine who served in the Atlantic during World War II. He was an avid fisherman in the Maye River. He was a member of the Bluffton United Methodist Church.He is survived by his wife, Daisy S. Hodge of Bluffton, SC; one son, William A. (Anne) Hodge Jr. of Ridgeland, SC; one granddaughter, Jenna Hodge of Ridgeland, SC; one grandson, William A. Hodge III of Ridgeland, SC and one great grandson, William A. Hodge IV of Crown Point, Indiana. He was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Allyn Hodge.Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at the Sauls Funeral Home Chapel, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, SC with burial in the Bluffton Cemetery.The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.The family requests memorial donations be made to the Bluffton Cemetery, P.O.
