William F. (Bill) Fick Loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and grandfather (Pappy) left his earthly home to be with his Heavenly Father on November 10, 2016. Bill was born in Robertsdale, PA to the late William Fick and Zelda Mosbey Fick on January 24, 1941. His family moved to Baltimore, MD where Bill attended “Poly” and graduated from Milford Mill High School. Bill proudly served his country in the US Navy, assigned to several ships in Europe and later the USS Independence during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Bill began working for General Motors in Baltimore in 1964 and attended the University of Baltimore. He went on to serve in numerous sales, service and marketing positions with Buick Division of GM in Philadelphia, PA, Dallas, TX, San Francisco, CA, Flint and Detroit, MI. He was a masterful negotiator both personally and professionally. After retiring in 1999, he spent many a day sailing, playing golf and softball, or just enjoying his family and friends. Bill volunteered at his church and with the many organizations it supported. He had a great sense of humor which wasn’t lost in the many days he suffered with vascular dementia. His laugh was infectious. He never met a stranger that didn’t become a friend. His kindness made others feel good. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Victoria Galbraith. Vicki and Bill have five children between them. He is survived by his sons, William F. Fick III (Janis) of Colchester, CT and Anthony C. Fick of Panama City, FL; Vicki’s daughters, Denise Shannon (Jack) of Montclair, NJ, Jennifer Forbes (Zane) of Flushing, MI and Laura Fulton (Rob) or Norristown, PA. He leaves behind nine grandchildren, Allie, Grant, Sam and Andy Fick, Moira Shannon, Christopher, Collin and Nathan Johnson, and Elijah Fulton. He is also survived by his first wife, Karen A. Fick of Colchester, CT; his brothers, Larry and Robert of San Antonio, FL and Brian of St. Petersburg, FL and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, November 21 at 2:00 PM at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 351 Buckwalter Parkway, Bluffton, SC, 29910, followed by a reception at the TidePointe Community Ballroom on Hilton Head Island.
